Life and Love

Hey everyone!! So this is my first post on a blog... ever. And I'm not entirely sure what I want to focus on, or for that matter, if I'll even stick to any one subject at all. But one thing is for sure, I'm going to try as hard as I can to fit in my writing as a part of my usual routine... I've heard it's a good way to express your thoughts. And Lord knows I have a lot of them. (:

But tonight I really want to talk about something that I know everyone goes through; heartbreak.

Everyone has them and everyone deals with them in their own individual ways, but no matter what approach you take in trying to better yourself and move on, it can sometimes feel as though there will forever be that one thing that holds you back; that one small thing that tends to creep up on you when you least expect it, taking you two steps back when you feel like you've already made your final step forward. And it doesn't matter how long it's been since it's happened, and it doesn't even matter if you've begun to give your heart to someone else... because in the end you've only come to find yourself with less of a mended heart than you started out with when you were a child.

Heartbreak is something that can go far beyond the pain of any scrape or physical injury, and there will probably never be an answer as to what one can do to stop it; But no matter how inevitable it may be, I truly believe that so many horrible things happen to us, not because we "deserve it" or because "that's just how it is", but because we're strong. We're strong enough to succumb through the most treacherous of things... and it's within that strength that we can triumph over anything, even in the most hopeless of circumstances.

So to all of you reading this, never give up on mending your broken heart... and don't ever tell yourself that you can't win. Because I assure you, you can.
